River Cruising is the ultimate way to see Europe. You will love the convenience of your floating hotel, with attentive staff to make sure your vacation is the very best possible. Every single meal will be a delightful and delicious culinary experience. If you have had the pleasure of joining a river cruise, you already know that it is a luxurious and intimate way to explore a region without constantly having to find your way through thousands of people. It is guaranteed to be a less stressful way to travel without feeling rushed. You will likely decide "big-ship" cruising will never be as enticing again.

We will begin with a flight to Paris for a one-night stay to relax and enjoy the "City of Light" before the cruise begins. For seven nights, the Amadeus Diamond will be home as we explore the Seine River. The Diamond sparkles, combining smart technologies and modern designs with the utmost in comfort in mind. The Seine River offers picturesque villages to the soaring white chalk cliffs and natural arches of Normandy. You will immerse yourself in the charm and history of Northern France. If you can tear yourself away from the scenery of the quaint villages, you may consider a massage, or take time for the gym to make room for the next delicious meal.

Paris is the world's most visited capital city. During our stay, you will enjoy a Paris City Tour to see the beloved landmarks that line the Seine including the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Louvre, and the Eiffel Tower. You will also see the majestic Arc de Triomphe and ride along the Champs Elysees. Leisure time to relax will be available or maybe you will decide to wander the historic banks of the Seine, A UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Visit the village of Auvers-sur-Oise, an inspiration to many of the famous impressionists masters including Cezanne, Pissarro, Daubing, and the most famous of all, Vincent van Gogh. You'll see where van Gogh lived and sites that served as his inspiration to create nearly 80 canvases. During a Rouen walking out, visit the magificent cathedral that inspired Claude Monet, and the modern Church of Joan of Arc with its wonderful 16th century stained glass windows. Rouen is known as Museum Town for its many museums. It was important in the Roman era and Middle Ages, and features a cobblestoned pedestrian center with medieval half-timbered houses.

LeHavre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and important port. Le Havre sits where the Seine River meets the English Channel. As we know, the harbor was destroyed in WWII and later rebuilt. Etretat is an attractive seaside village and the famous Normandy coastline featuring cliff-top paths for views of steep chalk rocks with impressive needlelike formations, which have inspired many well-known artists. Possibly a highlight for many will be a full day Normandy tour, featuring many historic land-marks. You will see Pointe du Hoc, the site of a German artillery unit where the U.S. Army climbed 100 foot cliffs. Also, plan to stop at Omaha Beach to see the most famous of the five-code named beaches. You'll also see Colleville Sur Mer, an American Cemetery where over 9,000 American troops are laid to rest.

A stop will also be made in the small town of Les Andelys in the shadow of Chateau Gaillard, one time home to Richard the Lionheart. An optional tour will be offered to visit Gierny, home to impressionist Claude Monet, to see his house and garden. Or maybe you will choose to relax onboard for more Seine scenery and ship amenities. Regardless of how you choose to spend your last full day of touring, no doubt it will be wonderful.

Our cruise brings us full-circle, returning us to the magical city of Paris where we will make our way to the airport and begin our journey home. If a Europeam River Cruise is on your bucket-list, be sure to take advantage of this opportunity. We are expecting a ton of excitement with this, so please don't delay - it won't be the same without you!
